Payroll

Paid on the right day, in the right country, with the filings done.

Payroll is the one process where a mistake is visible to every employee at once. We run it in the UK, the UAE and the US on a fixed calendar, with the registrations, submissions and year-end reporting each jurisdiction demands.

01What is included

The whole job, not the visible half.

Everything below is in scope on the plan that includes payroll. Nothing on this list is an add-on.

  • Registration as an employer: PAYE and NI, WPS and MOHRE, EIN and state accounts
  • Monthly or bi-weekly payroll processed from approved timesheets or salary schedules
  • Payslips, WPS SIF files, direct deposit files and journals to the ledger
  • Real-time and periodic filings: RTI to HMRC, WPS to the Central Bank, 941 and state returns
  • Year-end: P60 and P11D, W-2 and 1099, end-of-service gratuity accruals
  • Pension auto-enrolment, GPSSA and 401(k) deductions administered
02Who it is for

Three situations we see every week.

01

Companies hiring their first employee

Registration, contracts, the first payslip and the first filing all have to be right. We set up the whole thing.

02

Teams spread across the UK, UAE and US

Three payroll systems, three calendars, three sets of statutory deductions, one point of contact.

03

Businesses paying contractors as well as staff

IR35 in the UK and 1099 rules in the US decide who is really an employee. We classify before the first payment.

03How it works

Four steps, then a rhythm.

Step 1

Register and set up

Employer registrations in each jurisdiction, payroll software configured, employees onboarded with the right tax codes and statuses.

Step 2

Monthly run

Changes are submitted by a cut-off date, the run is processed, approved by you and paid. Payslips go out automatically.

Step 3

File

Statutory submissions go in with each run, and the payroll journal posts to the ledger.

Step 4

Year-end

Annual forms are issued to employees and filed with the authority, and the new year's rates are loaded.

04By market

The rules differ. So does the work.

The same service, applied to each jurisdiction's law. Figures checked September 2026.

UK

Employer National Insurance is 15 percent above a £5,000 secondary threshold, with the Employment Allowance at £10,500. Employee NI is 8 percent between the primary threshold and upper earnings limit. RTI submissions are due on or before each payday. Auto-enrolment applies from the first eligible employee. Checked September 2026 for the 2026/27 tax year.

Everything about the UK
UAE

There is no personal income tax. Mainland employers must pay through the Wage Protection System within the MOHRE deadline. GPSSA pension contributions apply to UAE and GCC nationals. Unemployment insurance is mandatory for most employees. End-of-service gratuity accrues at 21 days' pay per year for the first five years and 30 days thereafter.

Everything about the UAE
USA

Employer FICA is 7.65 percent, matched by the employee, plus FUTA and state unemployment. Form 941 is filed quarterly and W-2s by 31 January. State withholding and unemployment registration is required in each state where an employee works, including remote employees.

06Questions
Can you pay employees in different countries from one contract?

Not from one contract. Each employee is employed by an entity in their country, or through an employer of record where you have no entity. We run payroll for both structures.

What about remote US employees in states where I have no office?

Their state is where you withhold and pay unemployment insurance, and their presence usually creates nexus for the business. We register you there.

Do you handle pensions?

UK auto-enrolment through NEST or your chosen provider, GPSSA for eligible UAE staff, and 401(k) deductions where you have a plan. Plan selection is separate.

How much notice do you need for a payroll change?

Changes submitted by the cut-off, typically five working days before payday, are in that run. Later changes go in the next run or as an off-cycle payment.

Thirty minutes, no pitch deck. Tell us the entities and the countries, and we will tell you honestly what applies and what it costs.
