Set up once, properly, with every feed connected.
Most accounting software problems are setup problems. A chart of accounts that fits, bank feeds that actually reconcile, integrations that do not double-count. We build it right or fix what you have.
The whole job, not the visible half.
Everything below is in scope on the plan that includes cloud accounting setup & migration. Nothing on this list is an add-on.
- Software selection based on your markets, currencies and integrations, not on commission
- Chart of accounts designed for management reporting, not just filing
- Bank, card, Stripe, PayPal, Amazon and Shopify feeds connected and tested
- Migration of opening balances, customers, suppliers and history from your old system
- Tax settings configured per jurisdiction: VAT schemes, UAE CT, US sales tax
- Team training and a written procedures note for anyone who touches the ledger
Three situations we see every week.
Businesses still on spreadsheets or desktop software
Cloud accounting is a legal requirement for UK VAT under Making Tax Digital and becomes one for income tax from April 2026.
Companies outgrowing a tool set up by a founder
A chart of accounts built in an afternoon three years ago cannot report by channel or entity now.
Groups on three different systems
One platform, one login, consolidated reporting, and one place the auditor looks.
Four steps, then a rhythm.
Audit what you have
We review the current system, its integrations and the quality of the data before recommending anything.
Design
Chart of accounts, tracking categories, tax settings and user roles are designed for how you will report, not how you used to.
Migrate
Opening balances and history are brought across and reconciled to the last filed accounts.
Train and hand over
Your team gets a walkthrough and a procedures note. We stay on as the accountants or hand the keys back.
The rules differ. So does the work.
The same service, applied to each jurisdiction's law. Figures checked September 2026.
MTD-compatible software is mandatory for VAT and, from April 2026, for sole traders and landlords with income above £50,000. Xero and QuickBooks both qualify.
Everything about the UK ↗The FTA's e-invoicing programme begins phased rollout for B2B and B2G transactions from 2026. We configure invoicing so the transition is a setting change, not a re-platform.
Everything about the UAE ↗QuickBooks Online remains the US default and integrates with most sales tax engines. We set up class and location tracking for multi-state reporting.
Everything about the USA ↗One senior accountant. One flat fee. Three countries.
Group figures are Shaazford Global LLC's published numbers across all its service lines.
Which is better, Xero or QuickBooks?
For UK and UAE businesses, Xero. For US businesses, QuickBooks Online, mostly because of the payroll and sales tax ecosystem around it. For groups across all three, Xero with a consolidation tool.
Will I lose history in a migration?
No. Transaction history is migrated for at least the current and prior year, and the old file is archived in a format you can open.
How long does setup take?
A single-entity setup with clean data takes five to ten working days. A migration with backlog is quoted separately.
Do I own the subscription?
Always. The software account is in your name and you are the primary admin. We are invited in as advisors.
